#SchooLab Project Makes a Difference in Ukraine! Many schools in Ukraine have no or very few old laboratory equipment. Schools apply to us online stating their needs, we analyze the request and provide the equipment.
During our Walkathon in September 2019, Kohorta was able to raise enough funds to purchase lab equipment for three schools in Ukraine (one of which is in Stanytsia Luhanska).
Ukrainian public schools lack adequate physics and chemistry lab equipment, with some having only a 1980 microscope or a set of broken measuring cups.
🔥The 6th of November, 2019, we are presenting to you the first results of the #SchooLab Project. A school in Lviv region has received a much needed equipment and now the students can expand their horizons and curiosity. They can apply their theoretical knowledge to the real life situations. Students can see the value of their education and their interest in pursuing a career in physics, engineering, chemistry or any other related science may increase dramatically. We are especially pleased to see female students taking a particular interest in the subject now!
Kohorta would once again like to thank our individual and corporate supporters and donors. A special thank you to Ukrainian Canadian Congress – Toronto Branch (President Taras Bahriy). Another special thank you to our partners in Ukraine – Karazin University Physics and Technology Department Физтех Каразина and their dean Ігор Гірка for their financial contribution and help with logistics.
